About Me

About Me

Over the years, what I’ve loved most about my work has not been the hands-on techniques or clinical diagnoses.  It has been the conversations.  The quiet trust in the treatment room. The chance to really listen to someone’s full story and build a relationship,  as opposed to the concise and clinical approach that our medical system so often demands.  It is in those moments of trust, vulnerability and connection that healing is truly fostered.

I studied at UBC, and earned my Bachelor of Rehabilitation Medicine in 1994.  Very early in my career I was very lucky to find myself working with some iconic Physiotherapists in the world of Orthopaedics and Manual Therapy.  A few of my colleagues and I were mentored through the very rigorous IFOMT training program (International Federation of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists,) while working full time at a private clinic in Chilliwack, BC.   I proudly earned my Diploma in 1999, and then transplanted myself from the farm into the mountains of the West Kootenays .

I was the owner of Rossland Physiotherapist Corporation and its subsequent incarnations (Infinity Physio and then Rossland Manual Therapy Clinic) from 1999 until 2022, when, called by the lake and the majestic mountains to the North,  I pulled up my roots one more time and have happily settled into the beautiful community of Kaslo BC.

Here in Kaslo, when I am not in my clinic, I can be found in my garden, out on the lake or somewhere in the mountains on foot, bicycle or skis.  I love everything about my new life here, and am especially enjoying meeting the people of this very special community.  I hope to meet you soon too, and look forward to helping you live your best life!
